Join us for our Christian Life in the Digital Age seminar series at Liberti Church Glassboro. The series consists of 4 sessions about how digital screens are shaping our lives and how the Gospel guides how we approach and use these technologies. Light refreshments and childcare will be provided.

Sessions include:

• April 15 — Digital Habits and the Heart (Session 1)
  How does digital technology affect our minds and our habits? Does the addictive nature of our computers and smartphones draw us into a world of constant distraction? How does/can the church provide a respite from the constant draw of digital tech? How do we build in habits of silence and breaks from our phones and instead build habits in scripture, prayer, and community?
  
  
• April 29 — Raising Kids in a Digital World (Session 2)
  How does technology affect the hearts and minds of our children? How do we guard against the dangers of the internet, while also guiding them through a culture of technological inevitability? What do you do when your child comes home from school with an iPad or a Chromebook? How do you keep them steeped in the wisdom of scriptures above the “wisdom” of the digital world?
  
  
• May 13 — Faithful Use of Social Media (Session 3)
  How do we navigate as a blood-bought people in a world driven by social media? How do we keep from giving in to the self-glorifying, outrage-fueled, mob-forming nature of social media culture? How do we react well and thoughtfully to the things we see in our feeds? How do we limit the time spent on our feeds?
  
  
• May 27 — Thinking Clearly About AI (Session 4)
  How do we guard against the AI hysteria being sold by many of our cultural leaders? What are the moral and ethical implications of AI usage? What happens if/when our jobs are jeopardized because of AI? Is it possible to have a balanced view of AI that acknowledges its usefulness without giving into AI idolatry or doomerism?
